Helping people think clearly in a world that rarely sits still.
I work with leaders, analysts, researchers, and technical professionals who are facing complex, ambiguous, or high-stakes decisions.
My background spans strategic, operational, and analytic roles, including founding and leading the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Knowledge Lab, a small, focused effort that helped the organization learn, adapt, and navigate its most difficult challenges. I’ve spent years studying how insight forms, how people communicate across disciplinary boundaries, how organizations learn from experience, and how human judgment can work with artificial intelligence rather than against it.
I don’t join organizations. I collaborate with them. You do the work of data collection, analysis, and execution. I help you strengthen the thinking behind it by clarifying problems, refining methods, and keeping attention on what matters most.
If you're dealing with a problem that doesn’t fit neatly into familiar categories, or you’re trying to build new capabilities for a changing world, you may find what you need here.
I work quietly. The impact rarely is.

Services
I work alongside leaders, teams, and organizations dealing with complexity, ambiguity, and change. The support I offer falls into three areas, depending on where clarity is most needed.
Advisory and Decision Support
This is for senior leaders who want periodic counsel on complex, ambiguous problems or who need guidance on integrating AI with human judgment.
Research, Analysis, and Insight Development
This is for research teams, analysts, and others who need help shaping their inquiry, navigating ambiguity, or understanding climate-security issues.
Organizational Learning and Communication
This is for organizations that want to improve lessons-learned processes, cross-boundary communication, and knowledge integration.
